Poster Presentation

Approximately 40 poster presentations were conducted across seven fields: School of Science, School of Engineering, School of Materials and Chemical Technology, School of Computing, School of Life Science and Technology, School of Environment and Society, and Medical and Dental fields. Many participants were observed discussing research while listening to explanations at each poster. The event facilitated interdisciplinary exchange and cross-boundary learning, such as students from Science and Engineering fields attending presentations by those from Medical and Dental fields.

Announcement of the One-Line Message Voting Results

As a new initiative, a voting project was conducted on the theme of “What helped when my research was stuck.” Participants voted for messages they resonated with, providing an opportunity to share perspectives on approaching research. Before the closing, the voting results were announced, and the selected message authors took the stage to share the thoughts behind their words. Participants listened to each other’s experiences, making it a memorable conclusion to the program.

Voices from Participating Students

‣I recognized the importance of explaining my research clearly to non-experts through presentations by students from different fields.

‣By interacting with participants from diverse fields with whom I rarely have contact, I realized the importance of viewing my own research from a broader perspective.

‣I received ideas that may lead to my future research.

‣It was interesting to hear health-related presentations from medical and dental students, as I rarely have such opportunities.

‣My motivation to study abroad increased.

‣I noticed unexpected connections between my research and different fields.

‣I intend to broaden my perspective by actively interacting with researchers from various backgrounds.
