This is the information about the recruitment for doctoral students for “Science Tokyo SPRING” (Program for Development of Next-Generation Front-Runners with Comprehensive Knowledge and Humanity) and ”Science Tokyo BOOST” (Program for Development of Co-creative Experts towards Top-level AI Research) in Fall 2025.

We will be recruiting students who will be enrolling in Science Tokyo’s doctoral program in Science and Engineering fields*1 in September 2025. Please make sure to check the official details in the application guidelines, which are scheduled to be released on September 22, and consider applying.

NOTE: Those who are enrolling in Science Tokyo in Medicine, dentistry, health care sciences, and oral health care sciences fields cannot apply for the programs via this website. ① Science Tokyo SPRING

< Amount of support>
・Research Incentives (equivalent to living expenses): 180,000 yen per month (2.16 million yen per year)
・Research Funds: 300,000 yen per year (150,000 yen for half-year period)
・Support for travel expense for Off-Campus Study

< Eligibility >
Those who enroll in Science Tokyo’s doctoral program (in Science and Engineering Fields^*1) in September 2025.
Recruitment number: 36 students

② Science Tokyo BOOST

< Amount of support>
・Research Incentives (equivalent to living expenses): 300,000 yen per month (3.60 million yen per year)
・Research Funds: 300,000 yen per year (150,000 yen for half-year period)
・Support for travel expense for Off-Campus Study

< Eligibility >
・Those who enroll in Science Tokyo’s doctoral program (in Science and Engineering Fields*1) in September 2025.
・Recruitment number: 3 students
